Giving Opportunities: Africa

Project Link is a self-supporting program with all the essential support services included. Project fund goals include a support fee of 8 percent for all projects except for approved educational institutions and approved capital projects, which carry a 4 percent support fee. These excepted projects are marked with asterisks (*) below.

Project Link projects in the Africa region can be found below, listed by category. Online contributions in support of these projects may be completed in one of four ways:

  1. A one-time gift charged to your credit or debit card,
  2. A recurring monthly gift charged to a credit or debit card, or
  3. A recurring monthly gift directly debited from your checking account, or
  4. A one-time mail-in gift.

Recurring monthly gifts will be processed the first day of each month, beginning with the month following sign-up.

Evangelism & Discipleship

Angola Church Growth (42.30004)
The primary ministry objective of pastors and church leaders in Angola is church growth through evangelism and discipleship. Resources are needed to reach the lost. (Annual Goal $8,000)

Burkina Faso Leadership, Evangelism & Development (42.30130)
This project is designed to provide initial funding for outreach by the church in Côte d’Ivoire to the neighboring country of Burkina Faso. Objectives include evangelizing, discipling new believers, and building the necessary structure to sustain a new body of believers. (Annual Goal $2,000)

Congo (DR) Leadership Development/Evangelism (42.30650)
The church in the Congo is developing the work in areas such as simple church buildings, modes of transportation, provision of literature and Bibles, as well as social projects. (Annual Goal $700)

Côte d'Ivoire West Africa Bible Institute (IBAO) (42.30131)
The institute’s operational and development funding underwrites the training of pastors and leaders to serve the church in French-speaking Africa, including student grants, library and teaching materials, and construction and furnishing of buildings. (Annual Goal $1,500)

Malawi Ministry Development (42.40340)
Bicycles are needed for pastors to reach more people. Funds also support pastoral training as the church seeks to reach a nation struggling with poverty and AIDS. (Annual Goal $3,000)

Mozambique Ministry and Development (42.30405)
This projects underwrites bicycles for pastors, building needs, and responses to frequent disasters in this country, such as floods and AIDS. (Annual Goal $3,000)

Uganda Evangelism/Leadership Training (42.30625)
Training materials are needed for developing leader’s evangelistic outreach efforts. (Annual Goal $3,000)

Uganda Women's Ministry/Church Schools (42.30626)
Women are the core of the church and help it to expand with projects, seminars, and visitation. Schools educate and nurture spiritual growth. Sixty percent of the country is age fifteen and younger. Schools open avenues of ministry to these children. (Annual Goal $6,500)


Church Planting

Côte d'Ivoire National Church Ministries (42.30137)
This project is designed to assist this young church in moving toward self-sustaining status by providing funding for new pastors, national ministries, and in attaining its strategy for national outreach into new areas. (Annual Goal $1,500)

Malawi Evangelism and Pastoral Training (42.30351)
Funds for the church in Malawi enable pastors and church leaders to travel, plant new churches, and purchase Bibles and literature that edifies the believers. Through this project pastors are also given solid biblical training. (Annual Goal $3,000)


Leadership Development

Africa Missionary Staff Conference (42.30001)
Every two years, the missionary staff ministering in Africa comes together for a time of strategic planning, team building, and spiritual development. Funds are used for program expenses. (Annual Goal $4,000)

*KIST Student Scholarships (42.40320)
Kima International School of Theology prepares servants for work in the harvest fields in multiple African countries. The students are spreading the gospel across Africa. Donations directly support those who could not otherwise afford the $1,500/year fees to receive this critical training to save the lost. (Annual Goal $70,500)

*KIST Development (42.40321)
As an African institution, Kima International School of Theology must maintain international standards and continue to improve and upgrade. Contributions will be used to provide faculty with training and advanced degrees, update facilities, and expand available teaching resources. (Annual Goal $11,500)

*KIST Grant (42.40322)
To make Kima International School of Theology training affordable and available to the maximum number of students, additional funding is needed for the day-to-day needs of the institution. Funds will provide the critical administrative and maintenance needs that directly support student training and preparation. (Annual Goal $70,000)

Côte d'Ivoire Leadership Development (42.40132)
This project provides support for several leadership training programs, including theological education by extension, VBS, literacy, women’s ministries, Christian education, pastor’s seminars, and literature development to provide the church with strong national leadership in all areas. (Annual Goal $10,000)

Rwanda Leadership Development/Evangelism (42.30490)
The church in Rwanda is equipping and mentoring its leaders. It also needs help in rebuilding churches. (Annual Goal $3,500)

Tanzania Babati Bible School (42.30605)
Babati Bible School is a three-year program that trains pastors to serve or plant churches throughout Tanzania. Average enrollment is twenty-five students. The school is staffed by Tanzanian teachers. (Annual Goal $1,600)

*Tanzania Theological Education by Extension (TEE) (42.30608)
TEE provides theological education and training to working church leaders who are otherwise unable to attend Bible school. Students are self-motivated in their studies but regularly meet with other students for discussion and evaluation. (Annual Goal $5,000)

Tanzania Pastoral Continuing Education (42.40476)
These scholarships will enable Tanzanians to get college-level theological training through existing Bible schools of theology in Tanzania or through KIST in Kenya. (Annual Goal $2,000)


Compassionate Ministries

Côte d’Ivoire AIDS and Compassion Ministries (42.30132)
The missions staff strives to meet the needs of persons in crisis by providing urgent aid for physical needs, educating youth and others in AIDS prevention, and assisting AIDS victims and their families with medical care. (Annual Goal $5,000)

Uganda Tumaini Aids Prevention Program (TAPP) (42.306.23)
This social program assists families coping with HIV/AIDS, educates, encourages, and develops hope through seminars, home visits, skills, and small projects. (Annual Goal $5,000)

Uganda Health Care Ministry and Management (42.40522)
Management, medicine, development, and support of clinical workers are major priorities in bringing about holistic health. We need your support to meet these needs and the legal requirements that govern medical work. (Annual Goal $8,000)


National Church Ministry

Africa—Mission (42.30991)
While traveling throughout Africa, the regional coordinator discovers both opportunities and immediate needs. This project allows the regional coordinator to respond. This project provides assistance to some of the most exciting ministry opportunities. (Annual Goal $2,000)

Côte d’Ivoire Church Development (42.40135)
This project aids the development of churches by providing roofs for new church buildings, purchasing new property, and constructing church buildings in cooperation with local believers to provide adequate places for worship and ministry. (Annual Goal $3,000)

*Malawi Ministry Center (42.30352)
The church in Malawi needs to purchase land and build the national headquarters as well as the pastors’ training center. The buildings will include classrooms, kitchen and dining room, dormitory, and offices. (Annual Goal $50,000. Total Project Need $200,000.)

Tanzania Aldersgate School (42.40473)
Aldersgate School provides instruction from nursery to high school. This school is raising the education level of Church of God laity, thereby preparing future leaders and strengthening the church for years to come. (Annual Goal $12,000)

Uganda Ministry Development (42.40520)
Mentoring, training, and education are vital to the growth of the church in Uganda. Church property purchases and development are needed in order for congregations to expand their ministries. (Annual Goal $35,000)

Zambia Ministry Expansion (42.40561)
In a quest to be self-reliant, the church seeks to engage in agriculture. We have the land and the manpower but lack the financial resources to expand farming on our 740-acre farm. (Annual Goal $1,000)
